size of package

I have a guest :

When toy install a default linux the size of the
pakages are 560 MG aprox ....

When I remove a lot of package and I created the .iso
the size is 260 MG ... but when I install this linux
it tell me againt that the total size is 560 MG !!!
how can I fix this ?
