You cannot use the RHEL-4 kernel RPMs as are as they don't contain all the
hooks you'll need. You will need to patch and build your own kernel.
RHEL-5, on the other hand, does have FS-Cache in the kernel RPMs.

Not as such. It's accessed through NFS, so any tool that can benchmark NFS
will work.

No idea. Other than to check that it works, I've only used it on Ext3.

Probably, but again you will need to patch your kernel, possibly quite a lot.
