Well, the problem here is that harddisk vendors sell disks that have a
capacity of 80 * 1000 * 1000 kB but name this 80GB, which is 80 * 1024
* 1024 kB.
So your three disks have 3 * 80 * 1000^2 / (1024^2) = 228.88
So your only have 229 GB total capacity and LVM is quite correct :)
