[linux-lvm] Is there a reason why BLKBSZSET and BLKLGSZGET have not been implemented?

This is a question to the LVM developers...

Is there a reason why BLKBSZSET and BLKLGSZGET have not been implemented in 
LVM?

Some filesystem tools throw up errors and warnings when creating filesystems 
on an LVM LV because of this.
