[linux-lvm] lvm, lvm2 and windows

Hi,

I'm new to LVM and have couple of questions:

1) What is the difference between LVM and LVM2?

2) Is there a way how to read LVM with ext2/ext3 from windows somehow. I 
know there's a way how to read ext2/ext3 fs while *not* using LVM.
