[linux-lvm] vgscan dumps core

I just installed 1.0.8 (yes, I built an rpm for it - anyone who wants it can
have it).

when I do vgscan it dumps core... where to start to figure this out?  I
upgraded from 1.0.3 because of the same reason.

I have a volume /dev/LVM-var with 1 PV on /dev/hdd.

help!
