[linux-lvm] LVM2 problem/disaster

You mean "vgchange -ay vg", right ?

Set up a device filter in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf in order to avoid needless
spinning on the cdrom device. (see the filter= line).

Run: "vgscan ; vgchange -ay vg"
