[linux-lvm] "broken" snapshot volume -- how to remove?

And to run the lvm2 tools from where you compiled them,
prefix each command with 'lvm' (in the tools directory).
e.g. 'lvm vgscan'
     'lvm lvdisplay'
     'lvm lvremove vg1/snap1'
