Installed RHEL4 Beta 1 on a HP ML570 with mirrored SCSI drives. After
rebooting, boot fails with kernel panic trying to find drives.
Installed FC3 and it booted fine. Here is the info on the drives and
controller from dmesg.
scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.36
<Adaptec (Compaq OEM) 3960D Ultra160 SCSI adapter>
aic7899: Ultra160 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 32/253 SCBs
scsi1 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.36
<Adaptec (Compaq OEM) 3960D Ultra160 SCSI adapter>
aic7899: Ultra160 Wide Channel B, SCSI Id=7, 32/253 SCBs
Are there known issues with this controller or server platform?
