slmodemd (alsa enabled) binary

Hi,
   I am wondering if RedHat has looked into the possibilities of 
including the slmodemd(binary only, not the drivers) on RHEL4/FC3. This 
would cover modem support on a large number of laptops.

If I read the licensing correctly, there would appear to be no issue 
with redistribution.

Is there any other reason why this cannot be added or licensed from 
Smartlink?
