I booted to RHELv4 with the mouse connected to the KVM.
Logged in No scrolling.
Logged out, moved keyboard and mouse to the PS2 connectors on the
system. Restarted X with Ctrl+Alt+Bksp
Logged in Scrolling. :-)
To recap, when connected to KVM devices shows:
I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0001 Version=003e
N: Name="PS/2 Logitech Mouse"
P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0
H: Handlers=mouse0 event1
B: EV=7
B: KEY=70000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
B: REL=3
Not connected to the KVM:
I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0006 Version=003e
N: Name="ImExPS/2 Logitech Explorer Mouse"
P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0
H: Handlers=mouse0 event1

I keep my fingers crossed... But I get the feeling it will require an
opening of the wallet. :-)
