I could be wrong here...but I always thought that the
application-debuginfo.rpm was the same as application.rpm except that it
was compiled with the -g option of gcc (or whatever compiler is used).
So, you either install the application-debuginfo.rpm or application.rpm.
If you install the application-debuginfo.rpm then you simply debug in
the same manner would would any application that has debugging turned
on. That is, you consult the complier documentation to see what extra
info is provided with the debug flag turned on.
