Yep, I first started noticing it on a Fedora Core 2 system. It really doesn't hurt anything (except on FC2 which had a bug causing mozilla to run dirt slow with DNS lookups when ipv6 was loaded) but I generally turn it off because we have no plans to move to ipv6 soon and it just chews up some memory, not much but every bit is significant :-)
