What the default NFS version in RHEL 4?

Hello,
I thought the default for RHEL 4 is NFSv4. I set this up in /etc/exports in 
the server:
/etc/exports:
/home/software		192.168.0.101(ro)

On the client machine, I have :
/etc/fstab:
www:/home/software  /home/software	nfs4     soft,timeo=300,intr    0 0

The client is running FC 4. When I try "mount /home/software", I got "mount: 
permission denied". If I changed the nfs-type to just "nfs", it works fine. 
Any help?
