Wouldn't a "program" automount map be the preferred solution to your problem? The script presumably then have conditionals in it to pick the appropriate map. I don't know that I, personally, would rely on nisMap vs. automountMap.

PS: I was under the impression that nisMap was deprecated in favor of
automountMap ?

I was under exactly the opposite impression :-) ? I assumed that since migrate_automount.pl uses nisMap that was the preferred setup.
