Back On Topic - system-config-dns?

I don't think anyone has answered my original two questions...  Or if
they did I missed it in all the noise.

1)  Why are the old RHEL 3 instructions, which are wrong, in the RHEL 4
docs?

2)  What is the "official" method for dealing with DNS?  In other words,
what is taught in the RHEL 4 RHCE prep class?
