I'm usually pretty thorough at reading release notes and I didn't
remember this being in there so after you posted this I went to look
again. I did a search for resize in the document titled Red Hat
Enterprise Linux AS 4 Release Notes and found a section that talks about
e2fsprogs. It mentions the fact that ext2online has been added and some
various notes about it but I don't see anything that mentions the
removal of resize2fs much less the reason.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
