actually no; see the release notes... late in the cycle we found out
that resize2fs couldn't cope with filesystems that can be online grown
(where "couldn't cope" is "dataloss") so we had to pull it; it'll be
back once we fixed it and tested it well.
I'm usually pretty thorough at reading release notes and I didn't remember this being in there so after you posted this I went to look again. I did a search for resize in the document titled Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4 Release Notes and found a section that talks about e2fsprogs. It mentions the fact that ext2online has been added and some various notes about it but I don't see anything that mentions the removal of resize2fs much less the reason.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
