I think it's actually in the changelog for the e2fs tools RPM (forget 
the name off the top of my head).

So, are we to always expect that it will take until Update 3 of a given 
Red Hat release before we get professional-quality SAN support?  Is it 
just assumed that nobody runs Red Hat on a SAN?  I'm sorry if I've 
sounded like a whiny brat here, but the 2-3 messages I get per week from 
people browsing the list archives and asking me how I got my SAN working 
with Red Hat seems to suggest to me that Red Hat is really 
misunderstanding something about the needs of their clients.
