Hi,
I've an application running just fine under RHELv3 but it requires
libstdc++.so.2.8 from the compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.128 package.
The application fails under RHELv4 with:
libstdc++.so.2.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I've the compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-132.7.2 package installed and would
have thought it would contain the needed binary. However, it doesn't.
rpm -q --redhatprovides libstdc++.so.2.8 says...
no package provides libstdc++.so.2.8
Something missing from compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-132.7.2? Must wait for
vendor to upgrade their stuff?
Ed
