Download the newest 2.2.x src rpm from
http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/download/2.2/ and "rpmbuild --rebuild
yum*src.rpm". It takes about 3 seconds to build the rpm as nothing is
actually compiled.

I'm wondering where people get their apt and yum/yam update tools. I see
apt and yam on Dag's site, but not yum.

I got yumfrom the Tao distribution. Here's a mirror link: http://mirror.stanford.edu/yum/pub/taolinux/tao-1.0-i386/RPMS.contrib/yum-2.2.0-1.TL2.noarch.rpm
