You might look at keepalived, I have used it for failover in the past.
I don't think anyone has done the legwork to get it into Fedora (even Extras),
so I doubt Red Hat sees any market for it. The RPMs at http://keepalived.org/download.html
always worked for me. (Dag provides some, too, which used to be broken
but from the spec ChangeLog it may be fixed now.)
