sure. setup a installation server, and serve it out via nfs (or ftp, or httpd,
though nfs is my personal favorite).

Not only will you dump the multi-cd issue, it'll be faster.


Exactly (NFS is my favourite as well).
Besides that, when new RPMs are relased, with security fixes, you can put
the on your NFS server, so every machine which is installed after this will
be completely up to date.

Prsonally, I rather like http because I then have httpd logs to show which packages are actually installed. I could then use that, if I chose, as a basis for rebuilding a CD, and it also shows the ideal package order to minimise seeking.
