Question for firefox

Hi expert

I just installed WS4.0 to one of our old machines (fresh install) and 
tried to start firefox browser as root.  But it did not start from both 
command line and gui from menu.  It seems it is trying to start (I see 
hour glass starting when it starts from gui) but exits without any 
error.    I removed it (rpm -e), and reinstalled (up2date) a few times, 
but it did not work.

Could you advise me where to look ?  Is there any log somewhere ?  I 
googled, but no luck.   Konqueror  works fine, but that is not what I want.
