Ah, thanks - I believe this may be the cause of an issue I'm seeing (RHEL 3U3).

# cat /proc/sys/vm/pagecache
1       15      30


Updating the kernel on these machines (or updating them to U6) is not yet an option, I'm wondering if I was to echo the settings you mention above, would this work, or just possibly break something else do you happen to know?
