Elevator in 2.6

Never try to find the answer to a burning question after getting up to
feed the cats at 04:30.....

In 2.4 kernels one sometimes used the "elvtune -r 2 -w 2" command to
change tune disk usage for a workstation environment.

Is there an equivalent for 2.6 kernels?  And if so, what would that be?
