you can try using the vm.swappiness=0 and putting that in sysctl.

After upgrading to U3 (x86), my little squid-box starting swapping without

After 4 days and 2.7 million requests, it's now at:
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2025 1461 564 0 7 79
-/+ buffers/cache: 1374 651
Swap: 4094 885 3208
Squid is squid-2.5.STABLE12-4.i686 because of #167503, tried for sometime
to convince RH support that the LARGEFILE-problem does exist in EL-package
of squid to no avail, finally decided I have better things to do than to
draw the problem in crayons to them.
Squid has no disk storage, only 'cache_mem 1300 MB'. Restarting squid
releases the swap and things are okay again for a while. But swap starts
to pick up slowly. Only squid, snmpd and postfix are running.
Anybody else seeing anything similar?
