ypserv broken(?) in rhel4u3

Hi,

I updated my NIS server to el4u3 this evening and yp clients prompty 
started to complain:

do_ypcall: clnt_call: RPC: Timed out

The NIS server started dumping these messsages

Mar  8 00:23:16 xxx ypserv[23967]: children is below 0 (-1)!
....
Mar  8 00:24:12 xxx ypserv[23967]: children is below 0 (-13)!
Mar  8 00:24:14 xxx ypserv[23967]: children is below 0 (-14)!
....

This message appears to generated from a patch that went into the 
el4u3 update....


I manually downgraded to ypserv-2.13-5  and everything seems to be working 
again.

Any ideas what is up?
