I think this problem may be on Ethernet adapter cable from

Hi, thanks for the email. Is there a reason why you think that? Is there something in the new release that makes it sensitive to the cable? The machine continues to work fine with the old release of ypserv.

Hi,

I updated my NIS server to el4u3 this evening and yp clients prompty

Mar 8 00:24:12 xxx ypserv[23967]: children is below 0 (-13)!

This message appears to generated from a patch that went into the
el4u3 update....

I manually downgraded to ypserv-2.13-5 and everything seems to be working
again.

Any ideas what is up?

thanks,
