Hi,
I'm running a RHEL4 x86_64 ES box and it is hosting a folder that i share out to other systems using NFS.
The folder is used as a shared data directory for a program running on 4 servers. This program has created around 32000 directorys under my shared dir on the nfs server :)....
When i do a ls on a client the command hangs for about 10-30 seconds or so and then gives me the a list of my 32000 folders. This is enought to give this program that is using the directory a error :(. If i do a ls on the nfs server it self (in the local directory) its super fast ...just like if i had 2 directorys ...
Is there any way to optimize the nfs (using some mount options or something) to speed this up ?
Kær kveðja / Best regards,
Finnur Ö. Guðmundsson
