I already posted a bugzilla on this, just curious if this rings any bells...
I have an Abit KN8-SLI motherboard and an Athlon 64 X2 dual core 4600+
processor. When it "only" had 2GB memory on board, I could install and
work with RHEL 4 U2 and U3 no problem.
When I upgraded to 4GB memory, I ran into a problem where it says
"/Kernel panic - not syncing: PCI-DMA: high address but no IOMMU." /I
got around that by passing iommu=soft to the kernel, but then I get
"mptbase: Initiating ioc0 recovery" over and over again.
Seems that the MPT SCSI driver is not happy with > 2GB memory? Does
this sound familiar to anyone?
