Hi,
I´m implementing a HA cluster running services like NFS and few others.
My setup is:
2x DL385 boxes (RHEL4 x86_64 U2)
EVA 5000 Storage (Qlogic failover)
LVM2 for VG's
This cluster runs few services. My main problem is NFS :)
I have a group of machines running RHEL4 and autofs to mount home directorys and other data directorys from this cluster. I've got everything up and running but have a slight problem.
When i "fail" the package over from clusternode1 to clusternode2 i run service nfs stop on node 1 and service nfs start on node2 (with a Serviceguard Script). A vip moves over to node 2.
While this happens i goto one of the client machines and the NFS is stale there :'(
Is there some way to setup NFS so it just retries to read/write to a share until its up ?...I've tried mount options like: rw,nosuid, hard, tcp & rw,nosuid, hard ....
Anyone has some experience with this ?
I've got another cluster with RH8 clients and RHEL3 U4 SG cluster doing exactly the same thing but there this does not happen....
Kær kveðja / Best regards,
Finnur Ö. Guðmundsson
