The qemu image should work anywhere, though I just tried, and I can't
get it to run under Dapper. Boot proceeds normally, but I get a blank
screen when X is supposed to launch; I haven't had time to investigate yet.
That said, if you want to try it yourself, you'll want to install the
'qemu' package, unpack the qemu image, and then do something like:
krstic aeryn:~/source/olpc-sdk> qemu -hda olpc-2006_02_06_16_08.ext3
-net nic,vlan=1 -net socket,vlan=1,mcast=239.192.168.2:9876 -serial null
-parallel null -M pc -boot c -m 128 -smp 1

Dapper runs 2.6.15 and qemu 0.8.0.
