Connect with the students at Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA. YHSLUG won a special visit from the Red Hat Road Tour. Last month special guest Nils Torvalds, father of Linus Torvalds. In February, it's Father of the Internet, Dr. Vinton Cerf. The students there have become active in the Ibiblio Open Book Project, and have presented in N.C. on their PyKarel Project. The LUG is now in the process of welcom- ing another local high school, H.B. Woodlawn, where they're JUST getting started with Linux. (In fact, tomorrow, I'm splitting early from my office to join some YHSLUG members in setting up LTSP at Woodlawn.) Resources: http://yhslug.tux.org/ http://pykarel.sourceforge.net/ http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/ Full disclosure: I don't work at the school but I've volunteered to do publicity for the LUG. ;-) I've CC'd some of the YHSLUG organizers, and I now leave it to you and them to continue the conversation.
