Re: [OS:N:] References for Overviews of Open Source

Chuck,

You may wish to explore the book "Open Sources: Voices from the Open Source
Revolution"

It includes contributions from recognized names. From this book, Larry Wall'
s piece, "Diligence, Patience, and Humility" is pretty philosophical.
Content accessible at
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/opensources/book/toc.html

For a Europe perspective, European Working Group on Libre Software
http://eu.conecta.it/

Also, Eric von Hippel has a paper on knowledge sharing and innovation, since
that seems to be one of your interests. "Horizontal Innovation Networks",
you can find it at http://opensource.mit.edu/online_papers.php

hope this helps,

Ignatius Hsu
