As a sociologist, I can say without a doubt that Open Source software
definitly has a sociological impact.  Just the idea of sharing is a
factor that cannot be overlooked.  For too long sharing has not been a
part of Amerikan society.  We have all been so protective of ideas/IP.

It is all about honesty in my opinion.
