The fastest I've got donated is a Pentium II 266 with 64 megs of ram. i
could always take some from the other computers for more ram or buy some
more (i have money for that) but the cpu is still a problem. my own
computer is a PIII 450 with 160 megs of ram. I will probably retire it
this summer, but being a student at a private school, money is tight.
Plus I physically don't have much room for a server that isn't also used
as a terminal.
For right now I think I'll stick with every computer being it's own
terminal, I'll have to network them though too. Most have ethernet
cards. To make a private lan, umm, would just connecting them all to a
hub work?
