Hey guys,
Well, 11 full computers are deployed at the senior computer lab! More
than half don't have power (I'm working on getting more outlets in our
place.), but they're there. I plan on taking time this week to install
linux on two of them (the PII 266's should be ok with RH 8, the older
ones might like RH with icewm or something - does RH 8 give that
option? i know mandrake does, i may just start with that and build up
(i have mndrake 8.2). I'll let ya know.
Does anyone have practical advice for how I should network these
puppies? Offlist would be ok, no need to clutter the list traffic
unless it could serve a learning purpose. Thanks. I am so very excited,
this whole effort started about a year ago, it is nice to finally see a
real lab set up! All we need know is DSL, I'll work on that next week.
thanks,
Brandon
