that sometimes using a computer in "shell" or straight text mode is
great for a person with ADD since there is little distraction, no popups
no fancy color nothing

actually OSS may be a real boon to persons with ADD, for a couple reasons
. one you can use it in "Shell"
. it is VERY configurable for the individual
. it can be a challenge that will keep the person from going bored
. it can be as open to change as the person wants to Phutz with it keeping
one from being bored.
just a few places where OSS could be a real advantage to a person with ADD
