Re: [OS:N:] Where are all the Linux/open source jobs?

Hi:

Jobs and growth in Linux OS is two different things. I
am a director of sales, been selling and marketing
open source for years now. Currently I'm with a
software company that develop management and disaster
recovery tools for Linux systems. With this position I
am preview to many companies Linux strategy. Yes I
definitely see a growth in linux servers, blades and
appliances not much desktop. As for jobs, I think it
is also a matter of training: instead of hiring linux
experts, they retrain their formerly MCSE staffs to
manage linux servers.

I will keep an eye out for you when I go through my
leads. I'll keep your email handy.
