There once was a product known as the GIMP. Then someone said "wouldn't
it be cool if we could touch up video" and others said "Yes, it would be
cool" and it was done.
Film Gimp was born. Then someone said "but we are more than GIMP we are
CinePaint" and others mindlessly chimed in "Yes, master" and it was so.

CinePaint is EXTREMELY popular in the movie business. So is Linux for
that matter.
