Solaris has a daemon, called 'gssd' which takes care of doing
gss_init_sec_context()/gss_accept_sec_context() for the kernel-level
Secure NFS code.
This daemon doesn't know what any one process' environment looks like.
It probably doesn't even get to know the PID of the process on behalf of
which it's doing a gss_init_sec_context() - it might only know the uid...
