Obtaining per thread CPU time?

Hi,

using the old Linux threads package it was possible to obtain CPU time on a 
per thread basis by getting the 'pid' of the thread and then reading the 
kernel information from '/proc/<pid>/stat'. Is there any possibility of 
getting this information using the new NPTL package c.f. LWP interface on 
Solaris?
