No!  I would bet money that life would get ugly.  There a changes from a
DOS fs to a Linux FS.  If you simply change the FS type, you will only
screw up the partition.  You MIGHT be able to get Partition Magic to use
it, but how then would you generate the new superblock backup, the Inode
count, and all the permissions settings.  I am not an FS expert by ANY
measure.  But I can tell you that this would be very bad.  I don't
currently know of anyway to adjust the size of a Linux partition.  I
heard that a product called 'Druid' worked, but I don't even know what
'Druid' is..... (I know what druid's were, but not 'Druid' =).
