I'm trying to install Linux using FTP. This is what I enter and the
response from the installation program:
1) Entered the FTP site name, the directory where RedHat is installed
and checked the 'Use non-anon ftp or proxy server' check box in the 'FTP
Setup' window. (I'm installing Linux from a PC located behined a proxy
server). No error reported so far.
2) Entered the FTP proxy's IP address in 'Further FTP Setup' window.
3) The installation program responds with the following error message:
'I cannot log into machine: Bas FTP server respone'
I checked the console screens using ALT+F1 to ALT+F5, nothing!
The only possible problem that I can see is that proxy server is
socksified or listening to a different port for FTP.
Has anyone had this problems and better still is there a solution for
it.
Thanks,
Mukesh
