RH 5.0 on Compaq PW5000

Hi,

I've tried to install RedHat 5.0 on my Compaq Professional Workstation 5000,
(2x PentiumPro/200) but after starting with the boot floppy from the LILO 
prompt, the system writes

Loading initrd.img ..............
Loadind vmlinuz ...........

and immediately reboots the machine. I tried to start with
"linux mem=64M expert"
but with the same result.

I did have several problems before, especially with PCI, but never 
anything like this.

Is there anybody out there observing the same or perhaps having a solution?
Enclosed is the dmesg output of normal boot.
