Hello -
I have sent this question to Redhat, but after 24 hours, I still have not
gotten a response. Maybe there is someone out there who will know =)
I actually purchased the RH 5.0 CD. I partioned the hard drive, used Disk
Druid to create the file system(s) and selected the package(s) that I
wished to install. The next screen that came up was "Mount Failed:
Invalid Argument". Now this is from RH's boot disk/cd, I simply followed
the on screen prompts. Any ideas?
Also, the Linux partitions that I have are on an extended partion off my
D: (secondary) hard drive. I attempted to create a /boot (for LILO) on
that drive, but even when selecting what drive to use (hdb2 in this
case), using Disk Druid it insisted it be on hdb1 (C:) drive. In order to
do this, I would need a non-destructive partition on C: which is 32 bit
fat, and my Partition Magic will only handle 16bit FAT, which is the case
on my D: drive. Can LILO reside and work on my secondary IDE drive?
Thanks!
