Sure, I'll throw in my two-cents' worth.  I would probably set your swap the
amount of RAM you have on board, especially if you plan to add more memory in
the future.  Although the chances are close to nil you will ever use that much
swap space, what's the use of swap space that can't hold anywhere near the
amount of memory on-board?

At 16M on one of my machines, Linux routinely allocates nearly the whole swap
partition, especially when I have the X server running and a couple of Applix
windows up.  8M of swap in this situation simply would not have cut it.
 Usually the amount of swap is closer to 12M or so.
