Major Installation Trouble

Dear Friends,
I am having trouble installing a fresh copy of RedHat 5.0. I am currently
running Redhat 4.2 with kernel 2.0.32. I have downloaded all the RPMS from
the Redhat ftp site to a local dos drive.
During the install I get an error message saying that it can't read the
partition table from hda. The error message is "No such file or
directory." I know that it is loading all my drives because I see it while
the kernel boots. When I see that error message my only option is to
choose "Skip drive." The real problem is when it asks for the hard drive
with the RPMS and I can't choose hda1 because it isn't listed.
I have tried many things, like trying installing in expert mode and making
new install disks. I am only a newbie so please don't flame me, I have
tried my best. Please e-mail fisher cafes net if you have a suggestion or
would like to ask me more questions about this. Thank you so much. Please
read the specs below...

***** Specs *******

Both of my hard drives are not run by my bios, but by Western Digital's
EZ-Drive 8.01W.
EZ-Drive does not seem to be a problem.

My RPMS are on hda1 in /RedHat/RPMS

[hda] Western Digital 33100 Hard Drive (3.2 gigs)
Partition 1 Megs = 1142 hda1 C drive in Windows 95 Primary DOS
Partition FAT16
Partition 2 Megs = 1874 Extended Dos partition
	1st logical drive in partition 2 Megs = 953 hda5 D drive in Windows
95 FAT16
	2nd logical drive in partition 2 Megs = 917 hda6 E drive in Windows
95 FAT16

Partition 2 is a Extended DOS partition that contains Logical DOS Drives

[hdb] Western Digital xxxxx Hard Drive (1.0 gigs) <-- This is my
Linux drive
hdb1 Megs=873 Linux root mounted on /
hdb2 Megs=33 Linux swap
hdb3 Megs=33 Linux swap
hdb4 Megs=65 Linux swap

I have also tried putting in a CD to see if I could mount it from install,
but with my luck it wouldn't mount my Sanyo 4x-speed CD-rom, therefore I
probably won't buy a Redhat CD.

*** More specs not having to do with this problem ***
Intel Pentium 100
40 Megs of RAM
256 kb Cache
Gateway 2000 Computer with BROT 1.00.10 AMIBIOS

The last time I installed Redhat, I borrowed a friends ethernet card and
installed with it over ftp. Now i don't have any free slots or the money to
buy an ethernet card and my friend has moved away.

Thanks again for reading this.

Dave Fisher
