I've installed RH4.2 on Pentiums without any trouble but now I'm trying
to put in on this 486 and I get problems. I place the boot diskette into
the system. At "boot: " hit return and initial loading proceeds until it
starts probing for h/w and gets to the "Probing PCI hardware." (this
machine has no PCI bus) and the system locks up with lots of register
dumping. Here's some of it (... for brevity can provide if necessary):
Probing PCI hardware.

Is there a directive I can give to disable the PCI stuff? I checked and
this is the most recent boot image (only one) for RH4.2.
