hi
i would like to add another linux-machine to my personal network. it
should only act as an gateway, and maybe later also as a proxy. i would
like to add features like dial on demand and so on.
here is the question? what do i need? could all these services manage a
old 386, with about 16MB? i use a 33.6 modem, so speed to the net is not
the mayor factor. i just want to know, if a gateway needs a lot of
cpu/memory-power, or is it senceless to use an 386.
